Hi I’m Holly. I grew up next to a farm but we also had lots of our own pets (as well as some regular visitors from next door). Previously I have been employed as a dog walker and home boarder for another dog walking company and subsequently worked in a Doggy day care centre. My volunteer experience includes handling animals such as Tigers in a sanctuary (which I left due to welfare reasons), in breeding kennels in the US and at rescues in the UK and Asia caring for domestic animals. I have assisted at dog training classes with the RSPCA and hope to continue this soon.
I developed an interest in dog training after adopting my first dog, Harley, as he struggled with outdoor life and would lunge and bark at everything. Harley's behaviour inspired me to complete my APDT foundation course. Additionally, I wanted to understand canine behaviour extensively so, I studied for a Foundation degree in Canine Behaviour and Training (I was awarded a Distinction this year) and will further my studies onto Bsc. Additionally, I am also canine first aid trained. I enjoy working with reactive dogs that struggle with everyday life and I am particularly fond of bull breeds, especially English bulldogs.
